Corrections policy

We try to get things right, and we want to know when we have not.

How to report a mistake

Use our contact page and start your message with “Correction”. Tell us which page you mean, what you think is wrong and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information.

What happens next

  • We check reports within 14 days.
  • If a factual error is confirmed, we correct the article and add a dated note at the end, for example: “Correction, 3 November 2026: an earlier version said … “.
  • Small changes that do not affect meaning, such as typing errors, are corrected without a note.
  • If the error concerns clinical information, the correction is also passed to our dental reviewer.

We do not remove criticism of treatments, risks or clinics because someone asks us to, but we do correct facts.
