Editorial policy
This page explains how articles on Implant Turkey are produced and checked.
Who writes our guides
Articles are written and edited by the Implant Turkey editorial team. Some first drafts are produced with the help of AI writing tools. Every article is edited and fact-checked by a person before publication, and that person is responsible for what is published.
Sources
- For health information we prefer NHS, NICE, the General Dental Council, the British Dental Association, the Oral Health Foundation and peer-reviewed research.
- For travel and consumer questions we use UK government sources such as the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
- For Türkiye we use official Turkish sources where they exist, such as the Ministry of Health.
- We link to the sources we rely on, so that you can check them yourself.
Prices and numbers
Treatment fees vary by clinic, by patient and over time. We only publish a price or a statistic when we can name its source and the month we checked it. Where we cannot, we explain what affects the cost and what a written quote should include instead. We do not publish savings percentages.
Language we avoid
Following the UK Advertising Standards Authority’s CAP Code and General Dental Council guidance, we do not describe treatment as guaranteed, painless or risk-free, we do not call any clinic or dentist “the best”, and we do not publish testimonials or before-and-after images as evidence of results.
Dental review
- An article is first checked by the editorial team for accuracy, sources and clarity.
- Our dental reviewer, Dt. Diler Özkan İrem, then reviews the clinical content and asks for changes where needed.
- Only after that review is the article marked “Medically reviewed by”, with the date of the review. Until then, the article says that a dentist review is planned and has not yet happened.
The reviewer works at our partner clinic. We disclose this on how this website is funded.
Updates
We change the “Updated” date only when the content of an article has changed, not for technical or design changes. We review articles that include fees, NHS rules or travel advice at least once a year.
